Chioma Ajoku, JD, PhD, ABPPChioma Ajoku, JD, PhD, ABPP, is a private practitioner in New York State and the owner of Forensic Psych Solutions. The focus of her practice is forensic evaluations and child/adolescent therapy. Dr. Ajoku graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College with a BA in Psychological and Brain Sciences. She then obtained a dual degree, MA/JD (psychology/law), from Duke University and Duke University School of Law, and was admitted to the NYS Bar. She subsequently obtained her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the CUNY Graduate Center via the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Additionally, Dr. Ajoku completed her clinical internship year at Rutgers University in Piscataway as the Adolescent Forensic Track intern. Afterward, she completed a Child and Family Forensic Postdoctoral Fellowship at William James College. Dr. Ajoku is licensed to practice psychology in New York State. Currently, she serves on the Mental Health Professionals Certification Committee for the First and Second Judicial Departments of New York, the AFCC Continuing Education Committee, the AFCC Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, the editorial board of Family Court Review, and the board of AFCC.

 

Robin M. Deutsch, PhD, ABPPRobin M. Deutsch, PhD, ABPP, is a Board certified psychologist in Couple and Family Psychology (ABCFP) and a Fellow of the American Psychological Association.  She provides consultation, mediation, parenting coordination and expert witness services. She developed and was the director of the Center of Excellence for Children, Families and the Law at the William James College where she was a Professor of Clinical Psychology.  Previously she was an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School and Director of Training in the Children and the Law Program, Department of Psychiatry   at Massachusetts General Hospital.  She has published extensively on issues related to attachment, alienation, co-parenting after divorce, high conflict divorce, intimate partner violence, parent-child contact problems, parenting plans, and parenting coordination, and is the co-editor with Abigail Judge of the book Overcoming Parent-Child Contact Problems: Family-Based Interventions for Resistance, Rejection, Alienation (Oxford, 2016).  Dr. Deutsch served on both the first Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) and APA task forces that developed Guidelines for Parenting Coordination, the AFCC task force for Guidelines for Examining Intimate Partner Violence and the AFCC task force for Court-Involved Therapists.    She is the 2018 recipient of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC )John E. Van Duzer Distinguished Service Award

 

April Harris-Britt, PhDApril Harris-Britt, PhD, is a licensed psychologist practicing in North Carolina and Virginia. In addition to providing child, adolescent, adult, and family therapy, Dr. Harris-Britt conducts comprehensive psychological evaluations, forensic evaluations, comprehensive child custody evaluations, civil guardian ad litem evaluations, and parental competency evaluations. She also serves as a Parent Coordinator. Specific areas of clinical and research expertise include trauma and violence; child development; developmental psychopathology; adoption and attachment; medically fragile children; divorce transitions; ADHD and learning disabilities; autism spectrum disorders; and the assessment and application of multicultural issues. She focuses on using a strengths-based, systems approach to assessment and treatment. Dr. Harris-Britt contributes to research and teaching at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Fielding Graduate University where she serves as the Lead Faculty for the Forensic Concentration. She is currently a member of the APA Working Group to Review Scientific Literature for High Conflict Family Relationships and the APA Board of Professional Affairs. She serves on the AFCC Committee on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, and previously served on the AFCC Task Force on Model Standards of Practice for Child Custody Evaluations which revised the 2022 Guidelines for Parenting Plan Evaluations in Family Law Cases. She is currently President for the North Carolina Chapter of AFCC.

 

Kathleen McNamara, PhDKathleen McNamara, PhD, is a licensed psychologist in private practice in Fort Collins, CO, specializing in counseling and forensic psychological services for court-involved families. She has conducted hundreds of parenting evaluations, consults with attorneys and mental health professionals about complex issues in family law cases, and is a parenting coordinator, decision-maker, and therapist. She was the reporter for the 2022 AFCC Guidelines for Parenting Plan Evaluations in Family Law Cases. Before devoting herself to full-time practice, she was a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Colorado State University, where she was a teacher, researcher, and clinical supervisor for fourteen years. She is a former president of the Colorado Chapter of AFCC and remains involved in program planning and chapter development. She is a past chair and former member of the Colorado Psychological Association Ethics Committee and serves on the Colorado Supreme Court Standing Committee on Family Issues and the 8th Judicial District Domestic Relations Best Practices Team.

 

Terry Singh, PhD, ABPPTerry Singh, PhD, ABPP, is a clinical and forensic psychologist whose areas of special interest include working with high-conflict families of divorce and separation, child custody evaluation, consideration of cultural factors in assessment and treatment, and the treatment of severe and persistent psychopathology. While his clinical practice is largely focused on working with children and families in his home province, he has also assisted in national and international relocation matters, including Hague Convention applications. He is a regular presenter and trainer at AFCC and other international conferences, and has authored articles on issues regarding child and family forensic psychology. He is a board member of AFCC Alberta, and currently chairs the AFCC Alberta Chapter's Programming Committee.
