The New York Chapter was formed in 2002. AFCC-NY is an organization where individual judges, lawyers, court administrators and personnel, mental health professionals, mediators, and all those concerned with the welfare of children and families can dialogue and network with each other about how to improve the treatment of families and children in the court. AFCC-NY seeks to encourage the development of courts and court procedures that better serve the needs of families and children and to develop and improve parent education, mediation, custody evaluation, and other processes to aid families in resolving their disputes.
